Welcome to RondoMap! Ideas to plan your sessions without the hassle

By Marco Baleato · · About the author

Hello and welcome! If you're reading this, you're probably a coach and you know the feeling: it's the night before training, you have ten minutes, and you're wondering what to do with your team tomorrow. This website was made for exactly that moment.

The name says it all: the rondo is the exercise every coach knows, and the map is what gets you to the right one. Exercises ready to use where you actually coach.

Who I am

My name is Marco Baleato. I coach and coordinate grassroots football: I'm currently the coordinator and a U13–U14 coach at SD Dubra, and I hold the UEFA C coaching licence and the RFEF football coordinator qualification.

Off the pitch I work as an AI Engineer and Data Scientist, so I decided to bring both worlds together: I built this website with the help of Claude Code, an AI coding assistant.

What this website is for

The goal is simple: to help you pick up ideas and plan your sessions easily. It isn't here to tell you how to coach your team — you know your players better than anyone — but to save you time and give you a good starting point.

Every exercise has a clear diagram, the set-up, how it works, coaching points and ways to make it easier or harder. You can filter them by age category, number of players, technical, tactical or physical objective, and the equipment you actually have.

Every exercise comes with a diagram: positions, passes and movements at a glance.

A full session in a couple of minutes

If you'd rather get straight to the point, try the session planner. Choose the duration, age category and objectives, and it suggests a warm-up, a main part and a cool-down, with the equipment you'll need. You can add the date, the place and the teams for each practice, and print it on A4 sheets to take to the pitch.

The planner proposes a task for each part of the session; you can change the minutes, reorder or swap any of them.

What's coming on the blog

Here I'll share ideas about planning, things I learn training my own teams and news about the website. No rush and no filler — just what I think will be useful to someone who coaches.
